Children
What to Expect
North Main is dedicated to partnering with families to lead children to becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. We provide curriculum and support for our leaders to provide age-specific lessons, activities, and small groups for children ages 1st through 6th grade to learn biblical truths and real-life lessons they can apply to their lives every week.
Responsibilities
- Love God and care about kids
- Complete and pass the application, background check, and interview process.
- Be committed to investing in and caring for our youngest generation of believers
- Arrive on time and prepared
Time Commitment
There are many different serving time commitments in the Children’s Ministry. When serving, leaders should be in the Children’s Ministry when children are dismissed after worship time on a Sunday Morning.
- Large group leaders serve 4 Sundays or 1 month at a time, a few times a year.
- Small Group leaders can serve 1-2 weeks at a time, monthly.
Positions
- Large Group Leader- Open our children’s ministry time with an ice breaker activity, introduction to the bible story, worship songs, and prayer.
- Small Group Leader- Work with a specific age group to dig deeper into the bible story, and facilitates activities and games that connect the lesson to real life.
