Welcome to North Main’s Celebrate Recovery!

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate the healing power of Jesus Christ in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes and the Christ-centered 12-Steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experience, strength, and hope with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

By working the Christ-centered steps and applying their biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and we become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the principles and the steps we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power ~ Jesus Christ.

New to Celebrate Recovery?  ‚ÄčIf this is your first time to check out North Main’s Celebrate Recovery, we are so glad you did! At Celebrate Recovery, we understand what it is like to admit an area of struggle. We want you to know that it is okay to not be “okay.” We invite you to allow God to meet you where you’re at in life during the large group meeting as we worship and listen to a Celebrate Recovery teaching or testimony. Then in the second hour, beginning at 8 p.m., we have men’s and women’s open share groups and a newcomer’s group designed specifically for you–to help you get more familiar with what Celebrate Recovery is all about.  Thank you for checking us out online…and we look forward to meeting you!

Is Celebrate Recovery for Me?  You may be thinking that recovery is just for people with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that many of us have created unhealthy methods for handling life. Regardless of your struggle, whether it’s emotional, relational, financial, spiritual or sexual, Celebrate Recovery teaches people to make the healthy choices that will help them become the people God created them to be.

At Celebrate Recovery, you will find a safe place to connect with people you can relate to, no matter your “condition” in life.  You’ll find hope and encouragement, love and support.  And, most importantly, you’ll find a path to freedom and happiness by developing a personal relationship with Jesus.

By working through the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes, with Jesus Christ as your Higher Power, you can and will change!!  You will begin to experience the true peace and serenity you have been seeking, and you will no longer have to rely on your dysfunctional, compulsive or addictive behaviors as a temporary “fix” for your pain.

By applying the Biblical principles of conviction, conversion, surrender, confession, restitution, prayer, quiet time, witnessing and helping one another, which are found within the 8 Principles and the Christ-centered 12 Steps, you will restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God.

Celebrate Recovery at North Main Street Church of God abides by the principles and DNA of the program as developed by Saddleback Church.  You can read more about Celebrate Recovery by clicking here:  www.celebraterecovery.com.
