Dream Sequence

Mary's Dream for the Future

Scripture: Luke 1:26-38
Key Point: We all have dreams for our future. We all have a certain set of expectations, even from a very young age, of what we want to become or accomplish in life. In fact, one of the most common question asked of kids is, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” There is a level of dreaming and expectation that takes place in the hearts of all of us that drives us forward. However, as we grow older, we begin to have doubts. For many of us, our lives haven’t turned out the way we expected. There are twists, turns, and curve balls along the way that tend to throw us off balance and leave us frustrated and disappointed. The so called “mid-life crisis” is evidence of this let-down of our dreams; we thought we’d be further along by now, or we thought things would be so much different than they currently are. In this week’s message we’ll learn that: Our dreams for our future aren’t always what God’s dreams are for our future.
